I know I haven't posted that much at all the past few weeks, but my Varsity Baseball season is fully underway and AP tests/SAT coming up it will be tough for me to post a ton, but I will still post.<div>The past weekends I have been buying a ton of 2011 update packs, so many that I can't post all of the highlights, so instead I will post all of the "special" cards I have.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0Y6BZOyQ0PHdgvbKgDue056A5ZbYo7KKe9-Mz5jaI07wpdZ-uROlC6-OVWM0bUPvO_7ylmxBH-itAhYG3kPNhBpL7kcpQuRRHbWOrizIi1uV8RFzgYmnJLfmScIhU4SiSFZvY6_CwaPI/s1600/Topps+highlights.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0Y6BZOyQ0PHdgvbKgDue056A5ZbYo7KKe9-Mz5jaI07wpdZ-uROlC6-OVWM0bUPvO_7ylmxBH-itAhYG3kPNhBpL7kcpQuRRHbWOrizIi1uV8RFzgYmnJLfmScIhU4SiSFZvY6_CwaPI/s320/Topps+highlights.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div> As you can see, I got 2 red parallel cards, a Jacob Turner rookie card and a Shawn Campp. I also got a gold parallel card, Jose Altuve. I don't know too much about the rookies but I figure if any of them pan out, it will be awesome to have. I also don't understand why, from my experience, Topps made the red parallel cards more rare, I think the gold are much more appealing. The bottom three are diamond cards, which I think Topps did well on last year. I am very excited about the Nunez rookie, being the Yankee fan that I am, and of course I love the Andrew McCutchen diamond, a phenomenal young player. I also have always liked/respected Melvin Mora as a player. </div><div><br />
</div><div>This past weekend I missed out on a card show I would have gone to with Drew. However Drew did get me a picture for my Mom's birthday I will be posting shortly.</div><div><br />

I'm back with some news on my collection. I haven't posted a lot over the past week or so mainly because the baseball season and training is fully underway! While this is awesome, by the time I get home from practice and done working out, it is usually like 9:30-10:00!!! While my blog has been dormant, my collection most certainly has not been! Over this weekend I bought about 6-7 packs of 2011 Topps update series, for my 2011 Topps set which I am doing. There were to many awesome pulls to post about tonight, so I'll get to that another time. But in my various trip to Target, I decided I would switch it up and buy my first ever Allen & Ginters. Take a look:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieljyqoSUTP8e6nD9mE-MMSS08hR3cK54hGapd0iwvAkQlF8T4vyknf73ZaT3GhYveaVUCWnrBmqEjaJ8WenPbzuRM5fN6n6XfJhoHVG1dvRNvliR7nha8Ln5nZvmmkFMQ3Tktl1hO_lA/s1600/Ginters.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieljyqoSUTP8e6nD9mE-MMSS08hR3cK54hGapd0iwvAkQlF8T4vyknf73ZaT3GhYveaVUCWnrBmqEjaJ8WenPbzuRM5fN6n6XfJhoHVG1dvRNvliR7nha8Ln5nZvmmkFMQ3Tktl1hO_lA/s320/Ginters.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I really like the Ginter's design, especially as a refreshing change while buying 2143902423 2011 Topps packs.<br />
<br />
Look for a post this week about arguably my favorite off-season move made by the Yankees this year!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-4550242981694731772012-03-11T19:08:00.000-07:002012-03-11T19:08:47.783-07:00TTM SUCCESS #5- Rookie with a lot of potiential!!!Hey guys, I'm back with some awesome news. I recently got back one of my TTM's from a player who I'm really excited about! With my school's Varsity baseball team starting up tomorrow I figured it was the perfect time to share!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBTfve0MC85qtyK1vP1oB_uN0YVGYARThbYuWa1tJt4ElpDhegyR-75_rlIdlJVAnSOubaSEgDkU6TVNiofZnF7t-2K6Kf64jOhGGMSRia8PT7FpvvdlEXykf1oiq1a7b-hEOExDyg2q0/s1600/Luebke.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBTfve0MC85qtyK1vP1oB_uN0YVGYARThbYuWa1tJt4ElpDhegyR-75_rlIdlJVAnSOubaSEgDkU6TVNiofZnF7t-2K6Kf64jOhGGMSRia8PT7FpvvdlEXykf1oiq1a7b-hEOExDyg2q0/s320/Luebke.jpg" width="228" /></a></div> Corey Luebke!!I think this kid has a ton of potential, and I am extremely happy to have his rookie card signed. In fact, looking at his rookie year's stats (3.29 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP, even racking up 6 wins for a struggling Padres team)<br />
<br />
In terms of my collection I have some 2011 Topps to show that I got yesterday, and a few weekends ago. in case I haven't already said it, I am trying to complete the 2011 Topps set (my first year of collecting) so if you guys have any duplicates let me know!!<br />
See you guys!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-28679237234150407192012-03-03T19:34:00.000-08:002012-03-03T19:34:01.080-08:00TTM SUCCESSES #'s 3 and 4- 2 DAYS IN A ROW!!!Hey guys, the past two days have been great. Between the weather being nice enough for baseball, and the Yankees playing the Phillies in their first SPRING TRAINING GAME!!! Even though I just witnessed my favorite College, Duke get run out of their own gym, I've been having some luck.<br />
<br />
The first success I got was from John "Mule" Miles. I didn't have any cards to send him, so I sent him some Index Cards and a letter in which he answered all of my questions!!!<br />
<br />
On the cards he wrote a bunch of quotes, very deep and I definetly will use them in my life as I play the game I, and we all love. Overall, it is awesome to add an autograph from someone who played in the Negro Leagues.<br />

Here is the letter he sent!!!<br />

The next TTM success I got was Pat Neshek!!! He is an awesome signer and a collector himself, so If you guys haven't sent him a TTM yet, try him out!!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCG4260LJKqEy99RWauVz_qtyIKXNQtowAEe5HotQez_Cgg_NLrwEi33y2b46jkyMrkEott_ioBi14uU-pC4S4y8sBXw6sDzOjpwNvEeqKbVJ7I3B3Ycsh75BaJ96eztMLQuiAq1_wLLc/s1600/Neshek+ttm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCG4260LJKqEy99RWauVz_qtyIKXNQtowAEe5HotQez_Cgg_NLrwEi33y2b46jkyMrkEott_ioBi14uU-pC4S4y8sBXw6sDzOjpwNvEeqKbVJ7I3B3Ycsh75BaJ96eztMLQuiAq1_wLLc/s320/Neshek+ttm.jpg" width="230" /></a></div><br />
Neshek started his career hot with a 2.19 ERA in his rookie year, and a 2.94 ERA in his 2nd year. Overall he has a 3.21 ERA, which isn't bad. <br />
<br />
I like the Neshek card and the autograph, as well as John Miles autograph, and am excited to add both of these cards to my collection.<br />

I have a ton of stuff to show you guys, and the first of these things was an awesome, and my second TTM pick up.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpHdmCl6vheusxBjiwYHdCRNm36B8gL8XDnsK0MLXqHetsrQalpQw4RILrGBbaYwEc5lzs1GsnQvvMTeCOI1jsejrtXc2Z_Cj3rYZC1M53iGyR9SKVP_4OApfg4wa5Vm5A8-hZf1CkOhk/s1600/3-1-12+8-21-34+PM+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpHdmCl6vheusxBjiwYHdCRNm36B8gL8XDnsK0MLXqHetsrQalpQw4RILrGBbaYwEc5lzs1GsnQvvMTeCOI1jsejrtXc2Z_Cj3rYZC1M53iGyR9SKVP_4OApfg4wa5Vm5A8-hZf1CkOhk/s320/3-1-12+8-21-34+PM+(1).jpg" width="230" /></a></div>Brian Duensing. I heard that I had a TTM from my brother, when he called me after my baseball workout, and I had a feeling it was from Mr. Duensing. While sorting through my cards that I wanted to send out with Drew, I saw I had a Duensing and soon saw he was a good signer. I have always liked Duensing as an underrated pitcher who I think has potential. In 2010 he had a 2.62 ERA!!! He had a bit of a rough year last year, and isn't expected to have a good year this year. I definetly think he is a sleeper and hope he does great. Nonetheless it is an awesome card to add to my collection, and an active player's signature!!!<br />
<br />
In other news, I got a frame for my Virgil Trucks stuff, so I wanted to show you guys that display.<br />
<br />
Also, while talking to William and Drew, I realized I wanted to start a set. Originally I wanted to do 2009, the year the Yankees won it all, but decided I'm gonna start with 2011, the first year I started collecting. I picked up about 24 2011 Topps over the weekend and I'll post those cards for you guys.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-4390087192228816902012-02-24T19:33:00.000-08:002012-02-24T19:33:45.583-08:00TTM SUCCESS #1-FIRST EVER!!!-VIRGIL TRUCKS (BEST SNOW DAY EVER)Hey guys, Connor back, with some awesome news. First off as you guys can see, I got my first TTM success ever! It came on a snow day for my school, at a perfect time, as I was mad that my franchise in NBA 2k12 was struggling. My mom told me I had mail, and when I saw the folded envelope, I was immediately pumped. I opened up the envelope, and saw amazing stuff, basically another Christmas. Here is what the contents looked like:<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTeUy09E5FjbvJuChsOqAJlhiE7ckqymoDieh5rPikUdlYbCxAlQnry7gFcieqqiRqmV5mnernkOZhVy4sWMM7j5ZdPH6i7oB96reNwkfjChvYBiXx7TjIqBI8JXw3p_YBW1i-yDMOq_U/s1600/photo+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTeUy09E5FjbvJuChsOqAJlhiE7ckqymoDieh5rPikUdlYbCxAlQnry7gFcieqqiRqmV5mnernkOZhVy4sWMM7j5ZdPH6i7oB96reNwkfjChvYBiXx7TjIqBI8JXw3p_YBW1i-yDMOq_U/s320/photo+(2).JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div> Inside of the folded letter that answered all of my questions, was a whole number of contents. The first thing I have to show you guys is the card i sent as well as a bonus!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBhJPH0wAFCq4QTl3cbrvfcVAFtPBt_K080Taoh1OLp8zIL_S-l6XyR9a3y_ntdzW8YxMiaqZzqwOmzmE62FzPoOYN0loM5RaMArKrtYtCsPjmDJ9i4Up62r-K9V2mZZ8Nkn14rpfotro/s1600/Trucks+TTM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="226" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBhJPH0wAFCq4QTl3cbrvfcVAFtPBt_K080Taoh1OLp8zIL_S-l6XyR9a3y_ntdzW8YxMiaqZzqwOmzmE62FzPoOYN0loM5RaMArKrtYtCsPjmDJ9i4Up62r-K9V2mZZ8Nkn14rpfotro/s320/Trucks+TTM.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div>On the left is the card I sent in, and the right is the extra card he sent back! </div><div>The second awesome piece of news was, while video chatting with Drew, I saw the Packers Defensive End (I am a huge Packers fan as well) tweeted if any one wants to play him in a game of Scramble With Friends for iPad/iPhone. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and tweeted him my name. He even responded to my tweet, and played me! How many other people can say they beat a professional D-End in Scramble with Friends!! </div><div>Today was an awesome snow day, and I'm glad I happened to be on Twitter at that exact moment!!</div><div>Thanks for reading guys!!!</div><div>Connor </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-23710060880792748292012-02-21T18:29:00.000-08:002012-02-21T18:29:09.035-08:00First Packs of the 2012 SeasonHey guys! I'm back with some nice, new 2012 Topps cards to show you. I picked up one of the double jumbo packs (36 cards total) and 2 single packs of 2012 Topps over the weekend. Here are some of the highlights:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiweCykt1YcTX5amzeDKVEF90poYcexRyLYW-v5ICMJjpD0jM9_euh_UFj9zWytalAz0o4k_3m5Odht3FI-euqABa-ioyi2TLymKU_M9ns5ocaTRP6WU3-dG5COJX-su7mvlfItGbnUCKQ/s1600/Inserts2012-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiweCykt1YcTX5amzeDKVEF90poYcexRyLYW-v5ICMJjpD0jM9_euh_UFj9zWytalAz0o4k_3m5Odht3FI-euqABa-ioyi2TLymKU_M9ns5ocaTRP6WU3-dG5COJX-su7mvlfItGbnUCKQ/s320/Inserts2012-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I got 2 golden moments in the pack, a McCovey and a Halladay. I like the golden moments and they look pretty good. I also got a Mays golden standard, and Derek Jeter classic walk offs, the homer that dubbed him the nickname "Mr. November".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1opLFIu5GzvLbMiX-oip1U3cM8Qn-7niKy1bozF8vQ_dVOLv7WH-m0jtglahZ9ML09fIF_cExXQeXv5A-Nm8Uxj8XXBfI9N9lVALL771FKg1O3qzicLwGibC7rjp-fdBFpak31N6xxQc/s1600/Grandy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1opLFIu5GzvLbMiX-oip1U3cM8Qn-7niKy1bozF8vQ_dVOLv7WH-m0jtglahZ9ML09fIF_cExXQeXv5A-Nm8Uxj8XXBfI9N9lVALL771FKg1O3qzicLwGibC7rjp-fdBFpak31N6xxQc/s320/Grandy.jpg" width="232" /></a></div>The next card is a mini Topps Heritage? (I'm not really sure what they are officially called) but I like how Topps did it this year. Last year I loved the Topps Heritage, and I like how this year they are inserts, which makes them more special when you get them. "The Grandy Man" had a huge, breakout year for the Yanks (41 Homers, and a .916 OPS!!!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwT5KRyDQuZZBQ2dmN9_iq9tX15i8ZmLfJXXqDmE2dRRZu9BoikpSyo1XCO9vDDcuQKDg3EjCkD-Tm6TZT6X-EwGLsQN5y5hSvKxgPLe_vuUX5epCjHQemZgIYG0_tCqntEI8_6Bh0hAA/s1600/Topps+pack+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwT5KRyDQuZZBQ2dmN9_iq9tX15i8ZmLfJXXqDmE2dRRZu9BoikpSyo1XCO9vDDcuQKDg3EjCkD-Tm6TZT6X-EwGLsQN5y5hSvKxgPLe_vuUX5epCjHQemZgIYG0_tCqntEI8_6Bh0hAA/s320/Topps+pack+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>The next are some highlights of 2012 cards. These are mainly the younger "Studs" I pulled with Hamels, Greinke, and Romaine, a Yankee Prospect I really like are some of the bigger young names, with Trumbo, Alvarez, and Fowler the other potiential stars.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiku8ZHJqGhTzPS-RCRwqrqaaWua6M8x4ZE80G-40m2XRQ6N0H8r2Ex_ckAaheSZ24KFbZ9oVORa3SZN1zUbmKl8p3f11ksXKgCXm5l0JOotp2feEHxr45gvazuYOXYwaKxL0wreIIJj6o/s1600/Topps+pack+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiku8ZHJqGhTzPS-RCRwqrqaaWua6M8x4ZE80G-40m2XRQ6N0H8r2Ex_ckAaheSZ24KFbZ9oVORa3SZN1zUbmKl8p3f11ksXKgCXm5l0JOotp2feEHxr45gvazuYOXYwaKxL0wreIIJj6o/s320/Topps+pack+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>The next are the already big name guys, with Delmon Young making the cut, as a guy who I've always respected/liked. Also, the Koufax and Ryan insert cards which I think are pretty cool. I also like the electricity The Beard brings to the game, and Pence/Beltre being established hitters in the MLB.<br />
Thanks for reading guys!!<br />

It turns out my father was a card collector in his time, so with me getting into the hobby more and more, he showed me some of his stuff. In fact, he was awesome enough to give me one of these cards.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnG8lNfu4i8BjgpF0y6LcuqTCLrDSXz4Bk12qKWXgAudP1r0-zvFRC5Q41mAKgy0gsRlwNdP0576EKBzhjOjmsohEn7qDfyZLsnTphLT4dAL2AMIe7FVqOIXcHlWkSLjk6T20Y5HYdGhM/s1600/Munson+signed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnG8lNfu4i8BjgpF0y6LcuqTCLrDSXz4Bk12qKWXgAudP1r0-zvFRC5Q41mAKgy0gsRlwNdP0576EKBzhjOjmsohEn7qDfyZLsnTphLT4dAL2AMIe7FVqOIXcHlWkSLjk6T20Y5HYdGhM/s320/Munson+signed.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>A 1975 signed Thurman Munson card!!! I love Thurman, and one of my biggest regrets of not being born earlier, is not being able to watch the Yankee Captain play. For us Yankee fans, we mainly remember the tragic way that Munson died. And while everyone does mourn for Munson, and rightfully so, some of his talent is covered up because of how this great guy was lost at such a young age. As a catcher, Munson had 5 seasons with at least a .300 average, not to mention the 2 or 3 when he hit .297 or .288. He had 131 career home runs, and a .292 career batting average! It also goes with out saying, the great defensive catcher he was. Just hearing stories from the YES Network, or his "Yankeeography" I can say I've never heard anything bad spoken about Thurman, and he seems like a great guy, a good teammate, and a great baseball player. It is extremely sad to have lost this player at such a young age. <br />
<br />
I now have decided that I will collect any Munson cards, so hit me up if you have any cards that you want to trade. My email is on the sidebar.<br />
<br />
I also bought about 4 packs of 2012 Topps cards yesrterday, so I should have a post up about that later today, or late tomorrow. <br />
<br />
See ya!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-15525131601982745482012-02-13T19:23:00.000-08:002012-02-13T19:23:22.623-08:00Prime Time Finds, Part 2Hey guys, I'm back with like what my third post in 2 weeks? Suprising I know. Anyway I said I still had to scan some cards that fell out of my closet and here they are:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyDB0q6JiXlSl3DnC9ESJ5z_M_M59of-TAnuQwKquAZz5Xd5jPJNqzw49eQX5qgkPQYSFhBSn7y0xDYHHmIIipLuOXQU7jTl9rPpTjYQwj-sq1yFecrCUzfqVRIJWnDXMNzzPSjTow0aE/s1600/2-13-12+9-35-46+PM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyDB0q6JiXlSl3DnC9ESJ5z_M_M59of-TAnuQwKquAZz5Xd5jPJNqzw49eQX5qgkPQYSFhBSn7y0xDYHHmIIipLuOXQU7jTl9rPpTjYQwj-sq1yFecrCUzfqVRIJWnDXMNzzPSjTow0aE/s320/2-13-12+9-35-46+PM.jpg" width="230" /></a></div>The first card is Tom "Flash" Gordon. Mainly as the Yankees set up man for the greatest closer of all time, Flash was the bridge to Mo for two years (2004-2005). In those two years, Gordon boasted a 2.21 and 2.57 era, with 165 K's. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAAKdcNJXujRY2w1RI-x54dWhU7Bp7fpfHI_sySkSS-RgZJ6vFSPRgDQL6iluDg58iYUVs-K_AOiSPoiZezCsxyYmVvOnMCjjPRQgdl91_9Vn1hTUMsIGtFG3BmCAVjNvNDWgwh7zLmW4/s1600/2-13-12+9-30-25+PM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="222" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAAKdcNJXujRY2w1RI-x54dWhU7Bp7fpfHI_sySkSS-RgZJ6vFSPRgDQL6iluDg58iYUVs-K_AOiSPoiZezCsxyYmVvOnMCjjPRQgdl91_9Vn1hTUMsIGtFG3BmCAVjNvNDWgwh7zLmW4/s320/2-13-12+9-30-25+PM.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>The next cards are Jim Leyritz. Despite being acquitted of DUI manslaughter, Leyritz had some big hits for the Yanks. His big hit came in the 1996 World Series. Down 2-1 in the World Series, and 6-0 in the 4th game, Leyritz sparks a comeback with a 3 run home run. Check it out: <a href="http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=3251275">http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=3251275</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW-VYa-RgTFAd7DCPdUxEFYLa6Cm2O1RxeLd9HtCKFwAFVR6sUbw_AWx0VJK9hep5UnaUr4242pn8tFfykb3F-uuZFgPPmSHoWZLNvw2O8OFYyT4APStjVs4GqtdjtGpMMBjBtpuI2TYk/s1600/2-13-12+9-32-47+PM.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW-VYa-RgTFAd7DCPdUxEFYLa6Cm2O1RxeLd9HtCKFwAFVR6sUbw_AWx0VJK9hep5UnaUr4242pn8tFfykb3F-uuZFgPPmSHoWZLNvw2O8OFYyT4APStjVs4GqtdjtGpMMBjBtpuI2TYk/s320/2-13-12+9-32-47+PM.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>This final find is my personal favorite of these 4 finds. I like the look of this card, a Bowman Heritage Jason Giambi. I think his off the field drama goes with out saying (with PED's and what not) but you gotta give the guy some credit for admitting it, coming out and apologizing (Roger Clemens). I personally really like Giambi, as a guy, and the great power hitter he is. And, he is still playing!!!!<br />
<br />
One more thing, tomorrow, most of my TTMs will be send out. All of them except ones that I will be sending to Mike "Moose" Mussina, Curtis Granderson, and Pat Neshek. If any of you guys are new to TTMs, like me, definitely send to Pat Neshek and Virgil Trucks. They both sign everything, and I've heard that Virgil Trucks responds to questions. Look to my sidebar to see who I have sent to, and my luck of responses!<br />
See ya!<br />

Actually, the way I found this as well as some other cards I still have to scan, was I opened my closet door, and a whole plastic case of Yankee cards fell out. With the Yanks, his best year, Prime Time boasted a .248 average and a whopping .248 on-base percentage.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpzPDVqlG9UfbfpAfSnVKyv1X60Ikkk6V5phqYikVo4JDACkCOZaPnJmbcSmzUldXJyD9YdmGuUEk6tz6RaV9sJAU1_kaNyr65aNEyIIRT5in57HWFSn38VOUFAINtlTInX6UmEcSnPGo/s1600/Jeter-dimmagio.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpzPDVqlG9UfbfpAfSnVKyv1X60Ikkk6V5phqYikVo4JDACkCOZaPnJmbcSmzUldXJyD9YdmGuUEk6tz6RaV9sJAU1_kaNyr65aNEyIIRT5in57HWFSn38VOUFAINtlTInX6UmEcSnPGo/s320/Jeter-dimmagio.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div>The next card is one that i discovered I (or one of my brothers) had while I was talking to Drew from <a href="http://drewsbbcards.blogspot.com/">http://drewsbbcards.blogspot.com/</a> (if any of you guys aren't following him already, go check him out. He has a great blog) This 2011 diamond duos Topps Jeter/DiMaggio card didn't turn out great from the scanner, but I really like this card!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYGgDOdslx9ja7HwyKNc1wMBdudxuot61KhTDLOrLTKadde5UOQ8WGCKxWNx2gl41jPqxar95KBjz8LPNeRbtmG9xpLSmSnsesabVKTx4HGuuvEXDgSpC6xgt0M6zvxSZrPN7_xmj2abY/s1600/Yanks-page-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYGgDOdslx9ja7HwyKNc1wMBdudxuot61KhTDLOrLTKadde5UOQ8WGCKxWNx2gl41jPqxar95KBjz8LPNeRbtmG9xpLSmSnsesabVKTx4HGuuvEXDgSpC6xgt0M6zvxSZrPN7_xmj2abY/s320/Yanks-page-001.jpg" width="229" /></a></div><div>This last set of cards are cards that I got from Santa. I got a couple packs of Topps, all star break update, as you an see with both the Jeter DJ3K card, which is an awesome card I think, as well as the A-Rod 600th home run card. I also got an Eduardo Nunez rookie card on the bottom left, a middle infielder with a ton of potential. The last one on the top right was the Derek Jeter 2011 Topps card. I've been looking for this card since the 2011 Topps were released, because I love the picture, the signature Jeter jump throw.</div><div><br />
</div><div><br />
</div><div>Welp, now its time to finish up these letters, and wait to see what TTMs I get back. This is my first year so if any one would happen to know if any of the following players signed with a team:</div><div>Matt Stairs</div><div>Edgar Renteria</div><div>Carl Pavano</div><div>Coco Crisp</div><div>Andy Sonnanstine </div><div><br />
</div><div>Thanks in advance,</div><div>Connor</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-84440574918973807562012-02-07T13:06:00.000-08:002012-02-07T13:06:57.257-08:00Ok?Welp it looks like I somehow deleted my last post letting you guys know that I was back to blogging, but have been collecting this whole time. Basically I said how I'm looking to have a post up this week about my collection, and if anyone knows how to scan cards and upload them that would be great help.<br />
<br />
Thanks for following through this dead period!<br />
Bye!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-79982153032920196542012-02-06T18:45:00.000-08:002012-02-12T05:27:33.302-08:00Allow Me to Introduce Myself(i found out what happened)Okay, so i don't really know where to begin, but i guess I'll say hey guys its Connor back!!!<br />
<div>Haha so I guess I just haven't had a lot of time to blog as usually I work out when I get home, and then by the time I eat dinner and do homework I'm exhausted. </div><div>Now to the part you guys actually care about. While my blog has been dormant, my collection most certainly been the opposite. I will be looking to have a post up this week about new cards, sadly no new autos (the part of this hobby I love the most) as well as some cards that fell out of my closet. I just have to figure out how to scan them onto my computer (any help would be greatly appreciated) I guess the reason why I am starting now is that, for all of you who live under a rock, the giants, sadly, won the super bowl. Despite living in New York, being the Packers fan I am, I hate the Giants-probably one of my most hated teams. Anyway I'm literally counting down the days until baseball, pre-season and our varsity season. </div><div>One last thing, go and check out sportsmemorabilia.com: <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"><a href=" </span><a href="http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/" style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #1155cc; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;" target="_blank">http://www.sportsmemorabilia.<wbr></wbr>com/</a><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> "></span></div><a href="http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/" style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #1155cc; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;" target="_blank">www.sportsmemorabilia.com</a><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> </a> - a one-stop shop for sports </span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">memorabilia fans!</span><div><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Thanks for following through out this dead period!!!</span></div><div><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.917969); color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">See ya!</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-10540069084397367752011-09-07T09:42:00.000-07:002011-09-07T09:42:03.141-07:00My ApologiesHey guys I know you probably forgot who I even am but this summer has, lets just say been not what I expected, which would be why I have not blogged since April 6th. Between football taking up a lot of my time since mid-August(with 2-a days taking up basically the whole day, and now practices) I have had no time to blog. Once the school year starts, I'm assuming things will calm down relatively speaking to this summer, which means I will be able to blog about my new findings in this world of card collecting that I love.<br />
<br />
Bye the way speaking of Card Collecting, I recently just got Madden 12 and love the game mode Ultimate Team (you collect cards and put together the ultimate football team) if anyone else plays leave me a comment. I would love to play someone in a game or talk trades. <br />
<br />
Talk to you guys later!<br />

The MLB season is fully underway, as is the varsity/JV high school baseball seasons. This means less posts from me, however i will try to update as many times as possible. I recently bought about 4 packs, and don't have the time right now to go into specifics, however they were really good packs. Among the players were Torii Hunter, Joe Nathan, and Chris Carpenter. 2 of those packs were Topps heritage, my first ever packs of this kind (just thought i'd share that). Also, while looking through my card sets from over the years, that I had in my closet, I found an Adam Wainwright rookie card!!! On a different note, my band recently went to Williamsburg on a competition trip. We had a blast, and our band won every award but 3 (we won about 12). This felt good especially since last year we didn't do so well. Any way we stopped in Baltimore, and at one of the gift shops I saw a shirt a I knew I had to get. An Abott & Castello Whose on First t-shirt! (They had jerseys too, but they were expensive) I will try to post a picture of it, because it is really cool. I'll see you guys later, and GO YANKEES!!!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-54925325369765299442011-03-30T19:17:00.000-07:002011-03-30T19:17:58.399-07:00Der-ek Je-ter!!!!Hey guys its me, Connor, back first of all I would like to begin by talking about a special program I saw that aired last night, however I DVR-ed and watched today. It was an MLB Network special on Topps and the history of baseball cards. I thought it was incredibly informative and overall a great show and fun to watch. While watching this I realized I wanted a card (some cards) really badly. The first is the 2011 Derek Jeter Card. The Captain is my all-time favorite player and saw the picture on the card and really wanted it. The next is the 2007 Derek Jeter card. I really like this card for one special reason that I won't disclose. Being new to this hobby I would be honored if anyone wanted to trade and would be honored to have Derek Jeter in my collection. See you guys later!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5907281379686527171.post-85183547508313922592011-03-27T16:14:00.000-07:002011-03-27T16:14:15.341-07:00Matt's Card CollectionHey guys its me Connor my brother recently joined the card collection hobby and I thought to be nice that I ask you guys to check out his blog. I was recently introduced to the card collecting hobbie by my friend Drew. I was going through the various boxes of cards I have and saw I have two Mariano Rivera cards. I will be putting in a TTM request to Mo soon so lets hope for the best. If anyone has any tips on how to get better please post them as comments. Thanks I hope I can have a huge collection soon! See you guys later!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com5
